What it costs
Priced by the piece, invoiced after the piece is done.
There is no enrolment fee, no monthly retainer and no package. That is not a marketing position; a credit repair organisation may not take payment before the services it promised have been fully performed, so an invoice that arrives before the work is finished is an unlawful one.
The first conversation
No chargeabout 30 minutes
In person on Lorain Avenue, or on the phone. You tell us what happened, we tell you honestly whether there is anything here worth paying for. Roughly one person in four is told there is not.
Never invoiced, in any circumstance.
Reading all three reports, with a written plan
$180one session, usually 90 minutes
We pull Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, go through every entry with you, and you leave with a written summary: what each item is, whether it looks disputable, and the month it falls off.
Invoiced after the session has happened and you have the written plan in your hand.
A dispute
$35per item, per bureau
Drafting it, sending it to the bureau and to the furnisher, keeping the file, diarising the 30-day deadline, reading the response properly and telling you what it actually says.
Invoiced when the investigation has been answered — whatever the answer is. Deleted, updated and verified all cost the same, because the work is the same.
A debt validation letter
$45per collector
Drafted, sent certified with return receipt, and tracked. If it lands inside the 30-day window, collection activity has to stop until they answer.
Invoiced once the collector has responded, or once the period for responding has passed.
Rebuilding coaching
$85per session, monthly or as needed
Utilisation, payment timing, whether a secured card or a credit-builder loan makes sense on your numbers, and a budget that survives a bad month. Stop whenever it stops being useful.
Invoiced after each session. No package, no minimum, no notice period.
A typical file that needs work comes to somewhere between $250 and $500 in total, spread over three or four months as each piece finishes. A file with nothing wrong on it comes to nothing, because we will have told you that in the free conversation. We will give you a written estimate of the total before you sign anything, and it will not change without your agreement in writing.
Never invoiced
Things that will never appear on a bill.
Not as a limited offer, not as a first-month promotion. These are simply not chargeable things, and a company that charges for them is telling you what it is.
- Copies of anything in your own file, at any time, for as long as we hold it.
- Follow-up questions by phone or email between sessions.
- Help writing a complaint to the CFPB, the FTC or the Ohio Attorney General — including one about us.
- The do-it-yourself guide, in full, with the letters, whether or not you are a client.
- A referral to Legal Aid, to a non-profit credit counselling agency, or to a bankruptcy attorney, with no fee to us from anyone.
How payment actually happens
You get an invoice by email or on paper, whichever you prefer, after the work on it is finished. It is payable within 21 days by card, bank transfer, cheque or cash. There is no autopay, no stored card and no standing order, because a stored card is how advance fees happen by accident.
If money is tight in a given month, say so and we will move the date. We have never charged a late fee and we do not have a mechanism for one. Nothing you owe us goes to a collection agency — it would be a peculiar business that put a collection on the credit report of a client who came here about a collection.
If we get it wrong
If we invoice you for something that was not finished, tell us and it is cancelled. If you think we have charged for work that was not worth doing, say so and we will credit it; you will not need to argue, and you will not need to threaten anything.
You also have the three-day cancellation right on the contract itself, and a private right of action under the Credit Repair Organizations Act if we ever breach it. We would rather you knew that from us than found it out from somebody else.
Before you sign anything
Three things the law gives you, whoever you use.
No fee before the work is done
A credit repair organisation may not charge or accept payment until the services it promised have been fully performed. Not a deposit, not a setup fee, not a “file activation” charge, not a first month in advance. If anyone asks, that is your answer.
A written contract, before any work starts
It must say what will be done, how long it is expected to take, the total cost, and it must come with a separate written statement of your rights under state and federal law. You get a copy of everything you sign, and you get time to read it at home.
Three business days to cancel, no reason needed
You may cancel without penalty or obligation at any time before midnight of the third business day after signing. The cancellation form comes attached to the contract; you post it or hand it back, and that is the end of it. Nobody will call to talk you out of it.
Nothing above starts until you have read it at home.
The first conversation is free and carries no obligation of any kind. If there is work worth doing you will get a written estimate to take away, and three days after signing to change your mind.
Not ready to talk to anyone? Take the guide and do it yourself. It is the same method, it costs nothing, and you never have to tell us you used it.
